For this project we looked to ancient Greece. 900-700 BC was a time of dramatic transformation in Greece. Trade opened between the Greek city-state and parts of Asia Minor, southern Italy and Sicily.
Today, Italy remains extremely culturally rich. While the Magic Moment dates back to the ancients, it also resembles a more recent muse, Roberto Rossellini's 1962 film Anima Nera. The old and the modern. This is the inspiration for the Magic Moment.
The historical past of this pen is expressed in the openwork of its central band that represents the decoration belonging to this period of artistic awakening that was called “Geometric Art”. Five special resins were chosen to make this writing instrument and it is adorned with metals that illustrate the artistic glory of this extraordinary moment in history.
The colors of the materials were inspired by Rossellini's film and the moments found in it. Plunger system. Metal nib.
