To celebrate the centenary of the Meisterstück in 2024, Montblanc is paying tribute to the origins of the iconic writing instrument with a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games.

By a stroke of luck, 1924 marks the launch of the writing instrument that would become one of the brand’s most coveted masterpieces – and the same year also saw the first Winter Olympic Games held in Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc.

At their core, both Montblanc and the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games embody, with master craftsmen and sporting heroes, the pursuit of the highest possible human achievement. The Doué edition combines a precious resin barrel in a blue-grey hue, reminiscent of the official colour chosen for the Winter Games, and a platinum-finished cap featuring an engraving of the mountain landscape of the Chamonix valley.

The 18K 750 gold nib features a ski jumper, a nod to the vintage poster of that year’s Olympic Games. The Olympic rings are part of the Olympic legacy logo engraved on the cap-top ring, surrounded by a wreath of leaves, evoking the highest award given to victors at the ancient Olympic Games.

The cap is engraved with the words Olympic Games Chamonix 1924 within a frame inspired by the cover of the official report of the Games. The anniversary cap ring features both 1924 and 2024, symbolising the significance of both years. The edition is crowned by the Montblanc emblem on the cap-top in precious coral-coloured resin, Montblanc’s signature colour.
